Creamed Spinach

The perfect creamed spinach recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 750 g Fresh spinach
  • 1 small Onion
  • 0,5 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Whole-wheat flour
  • 0,5 tsp Sea salt
  • 1 pinch Ground ginger
  • 1 pinch Dried thyme
  • 200 ml Sour cream
  1. Wash the spinach well, drain it and boil it with water and the chopped onion for a short time so that it just collapses. Now pour into a blender and chop.
  2. Return to the pan, stir whole wheat flour with a little water until smooth, add and bring to the boil briefly.
  3. Remove from the stove, season with salt, ginger and thyme and fold in sour cream.
