Carazza Style Calzone
The perfect carazza style calzone recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 350 g Flour
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 3 Pinches Salt
- 1 Glass Lukewarm water
- 1 Glass Yeast dissolved in it
- 1 Glass Cup of oil
- Ketchup, tomato paste, some Tabasco, water as required,
- Sugar, salt, Italian herbs
- Salami, mushrooms, “Chester” slices
- Knead a yeast dough from the 6 ingredients above and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
- Mix the sauce from the sauce ingredients. Cut the mushrooms into slices.
- 3 Roll out wafer-thin dough cakes, spread the sauce, cover with the mushrooms, salami slices and slices of bread, fold over and press down at the ends.
- Bake the “Carazzas” on the middle shelf to 180-200 ° C for about 15 minutes, until the dough is cooked through and the cheese has spread nicely. Be careful when biting into it, the contents are very hot 🙂
- If you like, you can cut the calzones into 3 pieces, as in the picture, then you have delicious snacks for in between, which also taste hearty cold!
