- 2 Eggs
- 100 g Sugar
- 100 g Beet syrup
- 120 g Ground almonds
- 120 g Ground hazelnuts
- 2 tsp Christmas spice … RZ in my KB
- 1 pinch Baking powder
- 50 g Orange peel … RZ in my KB
- Baking wafers
- 100 g Powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp Water hot
- Beat eggs and sugar until frothy. Stir in the syrup, almonds, nuts, Christmas spices and baking powder, then also the orange peel.
- Then place about 1 teaspoon of the dough on each wafer and place it on a baking sheet. (Cover a second baking sheet while the first baking is in progress.)
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 15-18 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar with water.
- After baking, let the Elisen cool down briefly and then spread the sugar mixture on the hot / very warm gingerbread cookies.
