Cake: Banana Bundt Cake

The perfect cake: banana bundt cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Pc. Ripe bananas
  • 3 Pc. Eggs size M
  • 375 g Wheat flour
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 3 tbsp Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 150 ml Buttermilk
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 0,5 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 75 g Butter
  • 2 huge Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp Icing sugar for dusting

For the dough….

  1. 1 ….. Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and butter until frothy. Mix wheat flour with baking powder and use the mixer to lift the foamy mass.
  2. Now add the buttermilk and gradually the cocoa powder and work everything thoroughly into a smooth dough.

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and in the meantime …

  1. 3 ……. peel the bananas, cut them into slices and then chop them into small pieces. If you like it, you can also puree the bananas. Then immediately drizzle with the lemon juice.
  2. Carefully fold the finely chopped or pureed bananas into the dough and work again briefly.

Baking process:

  1. Grease a bundt pan and fill in the batter. Place the mold in the hot oven and bake there for about 50 minutes.
  2. Then let it cool down, fall out of the mold and dust with powdered sugar.
  3. My family loves to eat whipped cream with this banana cake.
