Kasseler Carrot Stew
The perfect kasseler carrot stew recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Kassel minute steaks
- 500 g Carrots
- 500 g Potatoes
- 1 Onion
- 2 tbsp Freshly chopped chives
- 1 glass White wine
- 1 a cup Cream
- 1 Laurel leaves
- 500 ml. Vegetable broth
- Clarified butter
- Salt
- Pepper
- Nutmeg
- Food starch
- Peel and dice the onion, dice the meat and fry everything in the clarified butter.
- Peel and dice the potatoes, clean the carrots and slice them, add to the meat, sauté briefly and deglaze with the vegetable stock and wine.
- Add the chives and bay leaf.
- Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and simmer for approx. 20 minutes
- Add the cream and cornstarch, bring to the boil for another 2 minutes and serve.
