Cake Kit – Nut Cake Base
The perfect cake kit – nut cake base recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 6 Eggs
- 300 g Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- 100 ml Water
- 100 ml Oil
- 150 g Ground almonds
- 220 g Flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and line or grease a springform pan (26 cm) with baking paper.
- Beat the eggs until frothy. Then gradually pour in the sugar and salt and continue beating.
- Stir in the water and oil and then fold in the almonds, sifted flour and baking powder.
- Fill the dough into the mold and bake in the oven for about 60 minutes.
- Let the base cool down, remove it from the mold and cut into the desired number of cake bases.
- Amaretto variation: replace part of the water with amaretto (I used 50 ml water and 50 ml amaretto) and add a few more dashes of bitter almond oil.
- Other variations: instead of the almonds, other nuts can also be used.
