Chocolate Pear Cake with Eggnog
The perfect chocolate pear cake with eggnog recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Pears fresh
- 4 tbsp Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 tbsp Maple syrup
- 100 g Dark chocolate
- 150 g Butter
- 3 piece Egg
- 125 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 25 g Cocoa powder
- 250 g Flour
- 0,5 packet Baking powder
- 80 ml Milk
- 50 ml Advocaat
- 1 some Powdered sugar
- Tried to bake the cake exactly. But must have done something wrong, I guess when he fell, because it was great before. It is torn in the middle (see last picture).
- Peel, quarter and core the pears. Mix the lemon juice and maple syrup and pour over the pears. Then put the pears in the fridge for half an hour.
- In the meantime, roughly chop the chocolate and let it melt in a water bath. Then stir the butter, vanilla sugar and sugar until creamy and gradually add the eggs.
- Then stir in the liquid Schkolade and whip to a creamy mass.
- Mix the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder and stir into the batter. Finally stir in the egg liqueur.
- Pour the dough into a greased springform pan and smooth it out.
- Cover with the pear wedges and bake in the preheated electric oven at approx. 160 degrees circulating air for approx. 60 minutes. When the cake has cooled down a bit, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- The cake is very fluffy and tasty. The next time I bake, I’ll stir in a few chopped almonds and use some pear liqueur instead of egg liqueur. Will be very tasty too.
