Chicken Skewers with Stir-fried Vegetables

The perfect chicken skewers with stir-fried vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 Chicken fillets approx. 150 g each
  • 2 Red peppers
  • 300 g Pink mushrooms
  • 1 Cup, 50 g Creme fraiche Cheese
  • Salt, black pepper
  • 2 Onions
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Sweet paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 125 ml Vegetable broth
  • 8 Shish kebab skewers
  1. Wash the chicken fillets, pat dry and season with salt. Place the fillets side by side and cut in half lengthways. Put each half of the fillet on a kebab skewer. Heat the oil and stir-fry the meat for about 10 minutes.
  2. Clean, wash and dice the peppers. Clean the mushrooms and cut in halves or quarters depending on the size. Peel the onions and cut into wedges. Season the meat with paprika and pepper. Take out and keep warm.
  3. Fry the vegetables in the frying oil. Season with salt and pepper. Sweat tomato paste in it. Deglaze with broth, bring to the boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in the crème fraiche. Serve everything. White bread tastes good with it.
  4. Tip 4: If you like it a little more piquant, you can replace the tomato paste with ajvar, a spicy paprika and eggplant paste. Or simply season the vegetables with a little sambal oelek.
