Glazed Ginger
The perfect glazed ginger recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 400 g Ginger
- 400 ml Wassr
- 400 g Sugar
day 1
- Peel the ginger and cut into small cubes / sticks.
- Bring the ginger cubes to the boil with the water: simmer for 20 minutes.
- After the 20 minutes add the sugar and stir until it has dissolved.
- Let it cool down.
day 2
- The whole thing is simply boiled again and must simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat after 20 minutes.
Day 3
- Do the same as on day 2: simmer for 20 minutes.
- Then fish out the ginger cubes and drain them in a sieve.
- Let the ginger cubes dry on a baking sheet lined with baking paper for around 2-3 hours. Finished! 🙂
- 10 …. if you want, you can roll the individual cubes in sugar.
