Glazed Ginger

The perfect glazed ginger recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Ginger
  • 400 ml Wassr
  • 400 g Sugar

day 1

  1. Peel the ginger and cut into small cubes / sticks.
  1. Bring the ginger cubes to the boil with the water: simmer for 20 minutes.
  1. After the 20 minutes add the sugar and stir until it has dissolved.
  1. Let it cool down.

day 2

  1. The whole thing is simply boiled again and must simmer for 20 minutes.
  1. Remove from heat after 20 minutes.

Day 3

  1. Do the same as on day 2: simmer for 20 minutes.
  1. Then fish out the ginger cubes and drain them in a sieve.
  1. Let the ginger cubes dry on a baking sheet lined with baking paper for around 2-3 hours. Finished! 🙂
  1. 10 …. if you want, you can roll the individual cubes in sugar.
