- Cover the outside of the stainless steel bowl well with aluminum foil and brush with the extra oil.
- Knead the bread dough well again and cut in half. Set aside some of the dough and cover again. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the bowl on top.
- Roll out the other half of the dough on a floured work surface and place it on the stainless steel bowl. Press the dough down well and cut off any protruding edges.
- Now roll out the rest of the bread dough and cut out motifs to taste. Work quickly so that the dough does not rise too much! It shouldn’t be too warm in the room.
- Decorate the bread bowl with the “cookies. To do this, coat the underside of the decorative parts with oil and do not press the motifs too tightly against the bowl.
- Bake the bowl at 250 ° for about 10 minutes, then turn the temperature down to 200 ° and bake for another 30 minutes.
- Mix 8,100 ml of water with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch and bring to the boil briefly.
- 10 min. Before the end of baking, brush the dish with the starch solution and continue baking. Take the tray out of the oven.
- Let the bread bowl cool down on the bowl, then remove the stainless steel bowl and aluminum foil. Now brush the inner surface of the bowl with starch solution and bake again at 200 ° for about 10 minutes.
- If the bread bowl is to be filled on the same day, line the inside of the bowl with aluminum foil or cling film. You can also let it “dry” in the air for 5-6 days. The shell then becomes super firm and rock-hard.
- There is probably some leftover dough, which can be used to bake small breads that are coated with melted butter before baking.
