Tataki Beef

The perfect tataki beef recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Saddle of veal
  • 200 ml Beef broth
  • 40 ml Soy sauce
  • 10 ml Sesame oil
  • 20 ml Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 pcs Chilli pepper
  • 1 bunch Coriander
  • 0,5 Piece Onion
  1. Cut the meat into 1 – 5 cm thick slices and soak in oil. Fry in a very, very hot pan until a nice crust forms. Then take it out of the pan and let it rest.
  2. Dice the onion and roast in the pan. Lightly toast the sesame seeds.
  3. Gently heat the broth, soy sauce and rice vinegar in a saucepan. Add chilli, inger.
  4. Cut the cooled meat into strips, arrange in a bowl or on a plate. Pour the sauce over them. Scatter the fried onions, the sesame seeds and the coarsely chopped coriander on top. Serve cold or lukewarm with pasta or rice.
