Turkey with Delicious Filling

The perfect turkey with delicious filling recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the filling

  • 2 Onions
  • 75 g Butter
  • 150 ml Maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper
  • Kitchen twine
  • 25 g Raisins
  • 50 g Cranberries
  • 8 cl Whiskey
  • 2 Vegetable onions
  • 1 Tart apples
  • 4 Rods Celery
  • 0,5 Teaspoon. Ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp Four-Spice explanation below
  • 200 g Bread cubes, toasted
  • Parsley chopped TK
  • Olive oil
  • Salt pepper
  1. Four spices: Traditional French spice mixture consisting of: 4 tablespoons of white pepper, ground. 1 tbsp nutmeg grated. 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon and half a tbsp clove powder. Smells and tastes wonderfully Christmassy. Also great with red cabbage etc.

For the filling

  1. Soak the raisins and cranberries in the whiskey. Peel the onions, apple and celery and cut into cubes. Fry the onions and celery in olive oil. Add the apple and the pickled dried fruits. Season with four spices and ginger powder. Add the bread cubes and parsley. “Delete” with the Wiskey. Season with salt and pepper.

The turkey

  1. salt, pepper and fill. Close with kitchen twine. Melt the butter and heat it together with the syrup. Roughly dice the onions and place in a sufficiently large roasting pan. Place the turkey on top and brush with the syrup. Add some water. Braise in the oven at 160 degrees.
  2. Spread the syrup regularly and pour over the meat stock. After 70 minutes, turn the turkey and cook for another 70 minutes. Continue to brush / pour with syrup and gravy. Turn again and brush with the rest of the syrup. Cook for another 70 minutes.
  3. Cut up the turkey. Catch the filling and keep it warm in the oven. Degrease the sauce and season to taste. Possibly bind. Serve with the meat.
  4. There was mashed potatoes, glazed carrots and pea vegetables.
