Swedish Köttbullar
The perfect swedish köttbullar recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 120 ml Milk
- 100 g Breadcrumbs
- 1 Shallot
- 4 El Butter
- 500 g Minced meat
- 1 Egg size M
- Salt pepper
- 1 tbsp Flour
- 100 ml Meatsoup
- 100 g Cream
- Cranberries from the glass
- Put the breadcrumbs in a bowl and pour hot milk over them, leave to stand for about 10 minutes.
- Peel and dice the shallot and sauté in 1 tablespoon of hot butter until translucent. Let cool down. Mix with the minced meat, egg, breadcrumbs and season with salt and pepper. Knead everything into a dough. If necessary, add a little more breadcrumbs or milk. Shape it into small balls. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and fry the balls in it for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Take out and keep warm.
- Heat the remaining butter in the pan, stir in the flour. Deglaze with the stock and cream and loosen the roast set. Simmer gently while stirring for about 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Arrange the Köttbullar in portions on plates. Serve with cranberries. Boiled potatoes and salad go well with this.
