Swedish Köttbullar Homemade

Köttbullar

  • 450 g Ground beef
  • 30 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Parsley
  • 0,25 tsp Cinnamon
  • 0,25 tsp Nutmeg
  • 30 g Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Butter

For the sauce

  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 460 ml Beef broth
  • 230 ml Cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcester sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Finely chop the garlic. Put the minced meat with breadcrumbs, parsley, cinnamon, nutmeg and garlic in a bowl, beat in an egg. Season with salt and pepper and mix everything together. Shape the minced meat into balls.
  2. Heat the olive oil in the pan and add the butter. Then fry the meatballs in it until golden brown on all sides.
  3. Heat 4 tablespoons of butter in another pan. Add 3 tablespoons of flour and stir until it is creamy and yellow. Now add the stock and stir everything together vigorously. Then add the cream, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Bring to the boil briefly and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Now add the Köttbullar balls to the sauce and serve with fresh parsley.
