Gyros Kritharaki Casserole
The perfect gyros kritharaki casserole recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Pork salmon
- Salt
- Gyros spice
- 2 tbsp Thistle oil
- 150 g Kritharaki rice noodles
- 400 g Fresh mushrooms
- 500 ml Tomatoes happened
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chilli flakes
- 100 g Processed cheese herbs
- 100 ml Milk
- 150 g Grated Emmental
- Cut the meat into pieces similar to gyros and season with salt and gyros spices. 2 tbsp. Add oil and mix. Let the meat steep for 1 hour.
- Line the baking dish with the gyros meat and mix with 150 g Kritharaki rice noodle. Wash, clean and slice the mushrooms and place on the casserole. (Unfortunately I only had canned mushrooms, but in an emergency ……)
- Spread the tomatoes over the top and season with salt, pepper and some chilli flakes (possibly herbs) to your own taste.
- Heat the milk and herb cheese in a saucepan while stirring until the processed cheese is dissolved. Then let it boil briefly. Spread the mixture over the casserole. Sprinkle everything with the grated Emmental.
- Cook the whole thing in the oven at 175 degrees for 1 hour, but cover the casserole with aluminum foil for the first 30 minutes so that the cheese does not get too dark. Good Appetite
