Chicken Sate (spicy)
The perfect chicken sate (spicy) recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Sate meat
- 800 g Fresh chicken breast
- 10 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 cm Fresh ginger
- 400 ml Coconut milk
- 1 tbsp Red curry paste
- 130 g Peanut butter
- Salt

- 2 cups Rice
- 4 cups Water
Marinate
- Cut the chicken breast into pieces, then grate or chop the ginger very finely. Put the meat in a bowl, add the ginger and pour soy sauce over it. Marinate for at least an hour. It is best to cook the appropriate amount of rice before you make the sauce, I used long grain rice.
Preparation of the sauce
- Heat the curry paste in a little oil (if you like it spicy, you should use 2 tablespoons of curry paste). Then add the peanut butter and heat. Deglaze with coconut milk and simmer gently, season with salt.
Roast meat
- If you like the meat on skewers, you should skewer it on wooden sticks. Fry the meat in a pan until lightly browned. Once the meat is done, it can be served.
Serve
- Meat can be served on a plate with rice and sauce. Anyone who has made skewers and is expecting a lot of visitors can fill the sauce into a deep bowl and place the skewers in the sauce. Then serve the rice separately.
