Christmas Market Mushrooms

The perfect christmas market mushrooms recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 Vegetable onion
  • 1 packet Herb butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Hot paprika powder
  • 2 tsp Gyros, spice mix
  1. Clean the mushrooms. Peel the onion and chop finely.
  2. Heat the herb butter in a pan (the pan should be really hot). When the herb butter starts to foam, add the onions, make sure that they are not lying on top of each other and sweat for 3-4 minutes. Shake / swirl the pan!
  3. Now add the mushrooms and fry until they turn lightly colored. When the mushrooms are lightly brown, refine them with salt, pepper, paprika powder and gyros spice mixture, then toss over a low heat for 2 minutes.
  4. Simmer until everything is creamy and serve the finished mushroom pan with bread and a garlic dip (recipe follows). Bon Appetit
