Broccoli Pesto

The perfect broccoli pesto recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Pasta of your choice
  • 250 g Broccoli florets
  • 1 Peeled garlic clove
  • 1 size Lemon
  • 0,5 tsp Chilli flakes
  • 3 tbsp Pine nuts
  • 5 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Grana Padano Parmesan, grated
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  1. Cook the pasta al dente according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. In the meantime, bring another pot of water to the boil and cook the broccoli in it for about 4 minutes. Drain, return to the pot and mash with a fork. Finely chop the garlic and lemon peel and combine with the chilli flakes and Mix the pine nuts with the broccoli, halve the lemon and set aside.
  3. Drain the pasta and put it back in the saucepan. Mix with the broccoli pesto and squeeze half a lemon over it. Transfer the olive oil and season with plenty of salt and pepper. Add the grated Parmesan, mix the pasta well and serve
