Ginger Cookies
The perfect ginger cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 120 g Butter
- 120 g Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 200 g Flour
- 50 g Food starch
- 0,5 Vanilla pod scraped out
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 100 g Candied ginger, finely chopped
- Chocolateglaze
- Granulated sugar
- Stir the butter until creamy, add sugar and stir, stir in the egg. Stir in the vanilla pod, salt and the finely chopped candied ginger. Mix the flour, starch and baking powder. Gradually stir everything into the batter.
- Roll out the dough thinly on a floured work surface and cut out with cookie molds.
- Line the baking sheet with baking paper and place the cut-out cookies on top. Bake at 180 ° for about 5 – 7 minutes.
- Coat half of the cooled biscuits with chocolate glaze and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
