Make ice cream with the ice cream machine – it’s that easy

If you have an ice cream machine at home, you can make your own ice cream without much effort.

  • A very simple recipe for ice cream from the ice cream maker is vanilla ice cream. For one liter of ice cream, first, whip 250 ml of cream until stiff.
  • Mix 3 eggs, 100 g sugar, 180 ml milk, a packet of vanilla sugar, and the pulp of a vanilla bean to an even mass.
  • Carefully fold in the whipped cream and put the mixture in the ice cream maker for a good half hour. The exact time depends on the model you are using. Then the vanilla ice cream is ready.
  • It’s just as easy to make delicious strawberry ice cream in the machine. To do this, first, whip the cream again until stiff, but this time 300 g.
  • Next, mix three egg yolks with 300 ml milk, two sachets of vanilla sugar, and 120 g sugar. Fold in the whipped cream.
  • Wash and cut 600 g strawberries into small pieces and also mix them into the ice cream mixture.
  • The mass now also has to go back into the ice cream maker for a good half hour so that it becomes delicious strawberry ice cream.

DIY – how to make ice cream without an ice cream maker

If you don’t have an ice cream machine, you don’t have to do without homemade ice cream.

  • For a homemade strawberry ice cream, puree 300 g of washed strawberries in a blender and then add 150 g of sugar, 250 ml of milk, and two tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • Whip 100 ml cream until stiff and fold into the strawberry mixture. Fill the finished ice cream mass into a large container and place it in the freezer compartment of your chest freezer.
  • It takes several hours for the ice to freeze through. To prevent ice crystals from forming, stir the ice vigorously every half hour during this time.
  • It’s just as easy to make chocolate ice cream. To do this, first, melt 150 g of milk chocolate in 200 ml of milk.
  • While the chocolate milk is cooling, whip 400g of cream with 2 teaspoons of icing sugar until stiff. Then carefully pour the cream into the cooled chocolate milk.
  • Then fill the mass back into a large container and put it in the freezer. Again, you’ll need to stir the ice cream thoroughly every half hour until it’s completely frozen.
