How to polish your ceramic hob

Basically, you can’t really remove scratches. However, you can change the texture by polishing. So scratches are less noticeable.

  • Be sure to only use agents that are specifically designed for glass-ceramic surfaces.
  • You can also use standard toothpaste for polishing.
  • Never use aggressive agents such as car polish, oven cleaner, or scouring milk.
  • Put the compound of your choice on a rag and buff the scratches in a circular motion.
  • Then clean the ceramic hob.
  • You have to repeat the polishing at regular intervals.
  • This way, over time, you will round off the edges of the scratches and the damage will be less noticeable.
