Goat cheese is a delicious product that you can prepare in different ways. In the warm summer months, the milk product is a suitable partner for salads and grilled food, but the tender cheese is also a pleasure to cook in the oven or flambéed.

Prepare goat cheese: instructions for every taste

Goat’s cheese is creamy and provides a special treat with its spicy aroma. Like any cheese, this dairy product goes well with vegetables, meat, bread, and salad. Goat cheese rolls are best suited for roasting, grilling, and baking. Goat’s feta or firm goat’s cheese can also be used. Choose one of the following ways to prepare the goat cheese:

  • Grilling: Beat an egg with a tablespoon of water. For example, mix in some chopped walnuts or pistachios and add a pinch of sugar. Dip both sides of the goat cheese in the liquid. Spread the cheese out on the aluminum foil. Grill it for a maximum of 15 minutes. Make sure it doesn’t burn.
  • Baking: For baking, sprinkle the goat cheese with some salt and chili powder. Add some olive oil and garlic. Place the cheese on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. Garnish the finished oven cheese with chopped walnuts.
  • Flambé: Sprinkle the goat cheese with some sugar. Place this on a plate with the sugar side up. Take a flambé and gently flame the cheese. As soon as a slightly brown crust has formed, the cheese is ready.
  • Fry: Put a small amount of sunflower oil in a pan. Cut the firm goat’s cheese into cubes or the goat’s cheese roll into wide slices and fry the cheese until it is golden on both sides. Fried goat cheese goes particularly well with fresh salads.
