  • Since you don’t need a coffee filter for the French press, but press the coffee powder down with the press, you benefit from the pure coffee aroma and taste. In particular, healthy coffee oils are preserved because they are not absorbed by the paper filter.

Preparing coffee with the French Press: The preparation

If you have got yourself a new French coffee press, you should clean the pot well. Follow the care instructions in the instructions.

  1. Pre-boil water to 92 to 96 degrees Celsius. It is best to use a kettle for this. In an emergency, just grab a pot.

  3. Place the press in the pot and let it warm up for ten seconds. Only then slowly press the press down.
  4. Divide the coffee between the cups. Do not leave the coffee in the French coffee press, otherwise, it will become bitter. It is best to put it in a separate coffee pot.
