Meatballs with potato wedges from the oven

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 roll, stale or some breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • possibly cayenne pepper
  • 1 kg potatoes, waxy
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • some rosemary, chopped

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Knead the minced meat with the egg, the bread roll (which has been soaked in water and squeezed out well) (or some breadcrumbs), and the seasonings, then form small meatballs from the meat mixture. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Peel, wash, and wedge the potatoes. Marinate the potatoes with olive oil, rosemary, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper and toss them in it until they are coated with a reddish film of oil. Brush the meatballs with the remaining marinade. Arrange the meatballs and potato wedges on the baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-45 minutes. A savory and very simple dish that goes well with vegetables or salad.
