Hessian cooked cheese

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g margarine or butter
  • 100 g cheese, Harzer (hand cheese)
  • 2 processed cheese wedges
  • 250 g quark
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • some caraway seeds, ground or whole

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Melt margarine or butter. Cut the Harzer cheese into small pieces and melt in the fat, then fold in the processed cheese and quark. Add the baking soda and stir over low heat until the mixture is smooth. Sprinkle with caraway seeds to taste and serve lukewarm with hearty farmhouse bread.
