Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 potatoes
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 egg(s), size L
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Family recipe

Finely grate the potatoes and drain the mash in a sieve. Place the batter in a bowl, finely chop the onion, add it, and fold it in. Mix the egg and breadcrumbs well with the batter (if the batter is still too runny, add 1 egg yolk and a few more breadcrumbs). Heat the oil in a pan. Measure out a tablespoon of batter, flatten it in the pan, and fry until crispy on both sides. Keep the finished potato pancakes warm in a preheated oven at 50°C (top/bottom heat) until all the potato pancakes are ready. Serve with apple sauce.
