Fried potato casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 375 g onion(s)
  • 150 g bacon (marbled)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g cream
  • 1 tsp paprika powder (sweet)
  • Salt
  • 450 g potatoes (ready-made fried potatoes)
  • Margarine (for greasing)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut the bacon into cubes and fry in oil (it should be slightly crispy). Peel the onions, slice them into rings, and add them to the pan with the bacon until translucent. Let everything cool slightly. In the meantime, beat the eggs, stir in the cream and seasonings, and gently mix with the bacon and onions. Place the fried potatoes (either homemade or ready-made from the freezer or a bag) in a greased baking dish and spread the onion mixture on top. Place in a cold oven and bake at 200°C for about 30 minutes.
