Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 5 bell peppers
- 250 g minced meat
- 1 onion(s)
- 50 g rice
- 2 tomatoes
- salt and pepper
- Parsley, chopped, or dill
- Water
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Stuffed peppers
Wash the peppers, push the stem end inward and pull it out or cut it off. Dice the onion and a tomato and mix with the minced meat and washed rice. For a more aromatic dish, add chopped parsley or dill. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper and stuff the peppers. Cut the second tomato into thick slices. Place the tomato slices over the pepper opening to serve as lids. Place the stuffed peppers in a pot, add a glass of lightly salted water, and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes. Serve Biber dolmasi with flatbread. You can also grill the stuffed peppers in the oven.
