Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 80 g sugar
  • ½ orange(s), untreated, grated peel
  • 2 cloves
  • 100 g apricot(s), dried
  • 80 g fig(s), dried, halved
  • 80 g plum(s), dried
  • 60 g raisins, Turkish, with seeds
  • 10 g almond(s)
  • 10 g pistachios

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cold soup with dried fruits

Bring the water, sugar, orange peel, cloves, and figs to a boil and simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, remove the cloves, let cool, and serve cold as a side dish or as a refreshing snack. I use dark, unsulfured apricots and Turkish white raisins with stones, which are less sweet.
