Strawberry compote

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 ml orange juice
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 50 g sugar
  • 750 g strawberries, washed and quartered
  • ½ tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bring orange juice, vanilla sugar, and sugar to a boil. Add strawberries and bring back to a boil. Mix cornstarch with water, stir into the hot berries, bring back to a boil briefly, and let cool. Tip: Tastes great on its own or with vanilla ice cream!
