  • 4 pork steak(s) (minute steaks)
  • 250 ml broth
  • 125 ml red wine

  • 1 tsp flour
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Olive oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Lomo en Salsa

Pound the minute steaks with a meat mallet and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Brown in a pan with olive oil over high heat for about 2 minutes per side, remove from the pan, and keep warm. Peel and dice the onion and sauté with the parsley in the same pan as the meat over medium heat until the cubes are translucent. Add a little more olive oil if necessary. Increase the heat to brown the onion, but do not allow it to turn black. Deglaze with the red wine and reduce it. Add the flour, stir briefly, and immediately add the stock. Reduce for about 5 minutes over medium heat until the sauce is creamy. Add the steaks to the sauce and turn them over to coat them with the sauce on both sides. Cover the pan and let it stand for another 5 minutes with the stove turned off or on the keep-warm setting on an induction hob. Serve with fries, fried potatoes, rice, and a green salad or baguette. Note: Fresh garlic can be used instead of garlic powder. This is then sautéed together with the onion.
