Chorizo in red wine

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g sausage (chorizo)
  • 300 ml red wine
  • 1 baguette(s) or ciabatta

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Using a sharp knife, slice the chorizo into 0.5 to 1 cm thick slices, depending on your taste. Then place it in a microwave-safe or ovenproof dish and cover with the red wine. Microwave at 600 watts for about 3 minutes or in the oven at 175 degrees Celsius for about 8-10 minutes. Serve hot with something like baguette or ciabatta, which you can dip into the red wine. It’s a typical tapa that’s quick and easy to prepare. Since the chorizo is already very spicy, I usually forgo any additional seasonings. The wine shouldn’t be too expensive (too bad), preferably a Spanish Tinto or a Beaujolais. Personally, I don’t find wines from the “New” World (Chile, South Africa, etc.) quite suitable.
