Bacon – Dates

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 36 dates (soft dates without pits)
  • 50 g cheese (Manchego), grated
  • 18 slice(s) bacon (breakfast bacon), halved

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Slice the dates lengthwise and fill with the Manchego cheese. Wrap the dates in bacon and place them on toothpicks. Roast in the oven on a rack lined with parchment paper for about 15 minutes until crispy. Delicious on a mixed appetizer platter or as a snack with a good glass of red wine. They’re still delicious the next day!
