Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 200 g chicken
  • 10 king prawns
  • 10 mussels
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 3 bell peppers, colored
  • 2 cups rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tsp spice mix (paella spice)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash the peppers, halve them, and remove the core and core. Peel the onion. Finely chop the peppers and onion. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a paella pan and sauté the rice for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until translucent. Add the chicken, onions, and peppers and fry. Season the meat with paella seasoning, salt, and a little pepper. Deglaze with the water and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently. Let everything simmer for another 10 minutes, about 10 minutes. After about 10 minutes, add the shrimp and mussels to the rice. Stop stirring and let everything simmer over low to medium heat until the mussels open. You may need to add a little more water or broth until the rice has absorbed all the liquid but is still firm to the bite.
