Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder, real
  • 1 tsp vanilla (vanilla sugar works well too)
  • Powdered sugar, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Swedish chocolate cake, makes about 14 pieces

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Heat the butter until it is melted and let it cool slightly. Beat the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy, then add the remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Grease and flour a 24-26 cm springform pan or line it with baking paper. Pour in the batter and bake for 15 minutes, or up to 20 minutes depending on your oven. The cake should be sticky on the inside and the surface will become slightly hard as it cools. Let the cake cool and dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Whipped cream, fruit, or ice cream go very well with it. My tip: The cake tastes best when it’s still a little warm.
