Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 m.-sized eggs
- 400 g white sugar
- 200 ml oil
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tsp vanilla sugar
- 400 g flour, 550
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 600 g carrot(s) / roots, grated
- 60 g butter
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 400 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1 bag of desiccated coconut
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Morotkaka
Whisk the eggs and sugar vigorously, then slowly add the oil. Gradually add the other ingredients, finally folding in the grated carrots, and mix well until a smooth batter forms. Pour the batter into a tall, lightly greased baking dish. Bake at 175°C for 20-25 minutes. If you have a fan-assisted oven, reduce the temperature by 20°C, but the same time. After baking, let it cool slightly, then combine the glaze ingredients and spread it over the cake. Finally, garnish with desiccated coconut. Enjoy! The cake stays in the baking dish and we enjoy it with hot chocolate or coffee!
