Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 25 g yeast
- 50 g butter
- 250 ml milk, lukewarm
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tsp cardamom, ground
- 400 g flour
- 3 tbsp butter, room temperature and very soft
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Prepare a yeast dough from the first six ingredients. Let it rise for about 40 minutes, roll it out thinly, and spread with the filling. For the filling, combine the butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Roll the dough up from the side and cut into 2 cm thick slices. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it rise for another 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 225°C. Bake the cakes on the middle rack for about 10 minutes, then cool on a wire rack.
