Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 30 g butter (half-fat butter)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 150 g spelt flour
  • sweetener

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Melt the butter and mix with the buttermilk. Stir in the egg. Combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Sift over the buttermilk mixture, add the sweetener and salt, and stir thoroughly. Let the batter rest for 20 minutes. Fry small cakes in a little oil in a non-stick pan (1 tablespoon of batter per cake). I like to eat oladi with sour cream.
