Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp yeast (dry yeast)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 5 cups flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 15 minutes

Pan bread

Stir salt, yeast, sugar, and flour into the water with a fork (do not knead). Place the dough in a well-buttered frying pan lined with buttered aluminum foil, cover, and let rise in a warm place for at least 2 hours. Then, covered with aluminum foil, bake on the stovetop at a very low heat for 30 minutes on each side.
