Yorkshire pudding

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 3 tbsp butter or lard
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Whisk the egg and melt the butter. Combine the flour, egg, salt, and milk to form a batter and chill for 1 hour. Pour the melted butter into 12 small pie dishes (or a shallow casserole dish) and place them in an oven preheated to 210°C for 5 minutes. Pour the batter into the dishes and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the pudding rises and turns golden brown. It goes perfectly with roast beef and parsley potatoes. Tip: The pudding can also be baked in the oven with the roast beef. Simply place it under the meat and adjust the cooking time to give it a special flavor.
