Flapjacks with almonds and Brazil nuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g olive oil or margarine
  • 5 tbsp honey
  • 200 g oat flakes
  • 25 g sunflower seeds
  • 125 g nuts (Brazil nuts), coarsely chopped
  • 70 g almonds (chopped or sliced)

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

English flapjack a little different

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit/Gas Mark 4). Oil a 23 cm square baking tin or similar. Heat the margarine and honey in a saucepan and mix together, then remove from the oven. Add the oats, nuts, sunflower seeds, and almonds and mix again. Transfer everything to the baking tin or similar and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the surface is golden brown around the edges and corners. Make sure the center is still slightly soft. Let cool slightly, then cut the flapjack into square pieces with a sharp knife while still warm.
