  • 125 g butter, soft
  • 125 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tsp caraway seeds
  • 2 tbsp milk

Sponge cake from England

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line the bottom of a springform pan with baking paper. Cream the butter and sugar until creamy. Gradually add the eggs and mix in. Combine the flour, baking powder, and caraway seeds and fold into the buttercream. Stir in the milk until smooth. Pour the batter into the springform pan. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 50 minutes. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
