  • 500 g minced meat, half and half
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 large onions
  • 125 g feta cheese
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, mild
  • 2 pinches of black pepper
  • 125 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, finely chop the onions and feta cheese. Briefly sauté the onions in a pan with a tablespoon of oil until translucent. Then, in a bowl, thoroughly mix the minced meat with the breadcrumbs, onions, crushed garlic, spices, and egg. Then form small or slightly larger balls, make a hole in the center, place a small corner of feta into each one, and then cover with the minced meat. Now add the last two tablespoons of oil to the pan and fry the meatballs one at a time until they are golden brown. They taste great with vegetable rice and tzatziki.
