Spaghettini Abruzzo style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • Salt
  • 100 g bacon, streaky
  • 3 onions
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 400 g spaghetti, thin (spaghettini)
  • 3 tbsp cheese, freshly grated (Pecorino)
  • 3 tbsp cheese, freshly grated (Parmesan)
  • 3 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped
  • some olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghettini in boiling salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a nonstick pan without fat. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic, and add to the bacon. Sauté over medium heat until translucent. Drain the pasta and toss the bacon mix with the spaghettini. Stir in a little oil, then the grated cheese, and finally the parsley. Serve immediately.
