  • 500 g flour

  • 1 ½ liters of oil, for frying
  • Honey, liquid
  • Cinnamon powder

fried yeast balls

Dissolve the yeast in 100 ml of lukewarm water. Mix the flour, salt, and sugar and place in a large bowl. Pour the dissolved yeast over the dough, gradually adding enough lukewarm water and kneading until you have a firm yeast dough that easily pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours, until it bubbles. Then knead briefly again. Heat the oil in a pan. Using a tablespoon, scoop out balls of dough and fry them in the hot oil. When they are lightly browned, remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon, let them drain briefly, and while still warm, drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped nuts and serve warm.
