Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 150 g bacon, Italian, (e.g. Lardo di Colonnata), or fatty, smoked bacon
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 sprig(s) rosemary, the needles of which
- 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar bianco
- salt and pepper
- 10 slices of white bread
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Crostini with cream of lardo al rosmarino
Cut the bacon into small cubes and chop the garlic and rosemary. Blend the bacon, garlic, and rosemary in a blender until smooth. Add the balsamic vinegar until creamy. Season to taste with salt and pepper, if desired. Toast the bread slices in the oven at 200°C (top heat) until golden brown, spread with the bacon cream, and serve while still warm.
