Paprika-walnut spaghetti

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp basil, chopped
  • 2 tsp Italian herbs (e.g. oregano)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 6 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
  • 2 pinches of pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 120 g walnuts
  • 1 onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the spaghetti al dente in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions. Drain through a sieve. Peel the onions and garlic and finely chop them along with the basil. Trim and dice the bell peppers. Toast the walnuts in a large, nonstick pan. Then add the olive oil along with the onions and garlic and sauté until translucent. Add the diced bell peppers and fry briefly. Season with the herbs. Add the drained pasta to the pan and mix everything well. Season to taste with salt and pepper and stir in the basil. Serve immediately.
