Multi-fruit Slices

The perfect multi-fruit slices recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Caribic Royal Mix (dried fruits)
  • 100 g Pitted dates
  • 100 g Dried apricots
  • 50 g Figs dried
  • 50 g Cashew nuts
  • 7 tbsp Water
  • 15 g Cocoa
  • Round or rectangular baking wafers, regardless of size
  1. For the preparation you need a powerful chopper, because the mass is very firm, sticky and at first terribly tough. It is also advisable to only shred small amounts at a time, otherwise the grinder will stick.
  2. Put the candied Caribbean dry mixture in a bowl. Slice the dates, apricots and figs into small pieces. Remove the small stalk from the dates. Coarsely chop the cashew nuts. Mix everything with the Caribbean mix. Then – as I said – mix smaller and smaller portions until the mixture sticks. Always add water spoonfuls to make it easier for the mixer. The 7 tablespoons of water specified in the list of ingredients are optional and can vary +/-. Half of the total mass should have a slightly pasty consistency, the rest can be a little coarser. Then mix both consistencies together and then divide. Stir the cocoa into one half, leave the other as it is.
  3. Spread the wafers. Apply both fruit masses 1 cm thick, regardless of whether the wafers are small, large, round or square. There are intentionally no dimensions given or given. Then put a second wafer on top and press lightly. Smooth the edges with a knife point dipped repeatedly in water. Place the finished specimens on a smooth, parchment-lined surface, cover them with parchment paper, weigh them down on a board or something similar and let them dry for 1 – 2 days. The little energy bomb is ready. It’s not just a healthy snack ….. it also stimulates digestion … ;-)))))
  4. The above-mentioned number of people is not to be specified because it depends on how much and how often you want to nibble on it ….. and can … 😉 I think a few days will be enough.
