Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 5 lemon(s), untreated
- 300 ml water
- 4 tsp vanilla sugar
- 100 g sugar
- 500 ml double grain schnapps
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Lemon liqueur with vanilla notes
Peel the lemons with a vegetable peeler, removing as little of the white part as possible. Bring the peels to a boil with water, sugar, and vanilla sugar and simmer for 5 minutes. Squeeze the lemons. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the lemon juice, and strain through a sieve. Add the liquor. Place a few lemon peels in a nice bottle and pour the limoncello over them.
